I absolutely did not know where to begin when it came time to pick out images for this post. This wedding had beautiful details, and our lighting was just delicious that day. But don’t worry, I’ve found a few to share, I hope you enjoy them!
Let’s start with the day: ever since ever, Daryl and I have not had an outdoor event. It has rained buckets everytime someone has planned an outdoor wedding and had us for photographers, with the exception of maybe 1 wedding several years ago. It was getting to the place that we thought there is a jinx on us. Or not. But it was bad. When Cheri said she was trying for an outdoor wedding at The Ephrata Cloister, we were excited, but also worried because of our track record with outside events. The week of the wedding arrived, and with it, weather predictions for rain. All week. Even Saturday. Cheri kept hoping and having faith. Daryl kept checking the weather. No change. Friday night at bedtime there was still predictions of rain, but Cheri did not loose faith. And good for her!!! Saturday morning dawned clear, beautiful and delicious with not a trace of rain in the sky!!!! Cheri had a beautiful wedding day, and we had our first outside event!
I absolutely loved her dress. esp. that sweet little detail on the right side of the waist.

Cheri and Justin’s beautiful wedding day.

That detail. Again.

The happy two basking in beautiful morning light.

I could have worked w/ her all day.

You gotta love the baby blues.

Justin was big into cars, so the sweet ride of the day was a Corvette. Each of the other bridal couples also had a high performance car. It was quite the procession!

The bouquet.

And here, my friends: documentation of our first outdoor event that did not get rained out. The jinx has been broken. (we hope)

Sweetness.

A fun little handmade detail.

Loved (!) the hydrangea between the layers of cake.
