Happy New Year everyone! Wow, I haven’t realized how long it’s been that I’ve been on here! Let’s just say it’s been an unofficial winter vacation, I guess:-) We had about 8 weeks off w/ no weddings, and to say it was lovely is an understatement. There’s nothing like a little break to get one rejevenated and ready to go again! I’ve been working on some personal projects these last few weeks, doing something with images I took for ourselves, so it’s been a fun creative outlet.
But now, we are back to weddings for 2010! It looks to be an exciting season, we are ready to go!
This past weekend was Marvin and Cindy’s big day!! All the way in Ohio! We were happy that a former bride referred her to us, we love that type of word-of-mouth advertisement, it certainly is the best!
Marvin and Cindy had a lovely winter day for their winter wedding. We were thankful that the snow belt wasn’t producing that weekend, it could have made for a very interesting roadtrip. But as it was, the weather was lovely, not too cold, and we were able to get some great images for these two!
Here they are, the happy two:

Simple, with emphasis on the memories, that was the feeling of this wedding.

Dad was a corker.

This veil was so fun to play with. I think it was one of the bride’s favorite parts to the day–other then the groom, of course.

After the reception, we were able to steal away outdoors, for a few shots. We were happy the light stuck with us as well as it did!

Dance with me.

I think this shot is one of my personal favorites from the day.

I love the texture and warmth that old house added to the background.

The bridal party. Such good winter colors, I think.

Back to the reception for a few details shots. I love all the handmade touches that Cindy incorporated into her day. It seemed like every detail was carefully thot through.

The cake.

These branches were fabulous with the lowlight and candlelight, they truly added ambience.

Smile:-)
