Well, I don’t know where to start today. After being away from the blog for quite some time–we’ll blame the mono for that, it’s hard to know even where to begin. It’s turning into a crazy season here, with the fall weddings in full swing:-)

Last Saturday was a gorgeous beautiful oh-so-perfect day, just right for a wedding. Chris and Tonya chose this day to become married and what a pretty event it was. Here is the gorgousness that is Tonya’s dress:

We had a great time with Alex and Eric on their big day. Their wedding was small. Simple. in a good way. But full of love and happiness.

Alex made a gorgeous bride!

We arrived to do pictures at Pool Forge just at the time of day when there is some super sweet light! Loved it!

Liz is one of my older, as in, been friends the longest, type of friend. I still remember the day she was there, for me, on my big day, tying the thank-you tags on my wedding favours. Even further in the past, she was there, when I met Daryl for the first time–and well, let’s just say, we go way back. She is a treasure, one of those hard-to-find kind of friends, and I mean to hang on to her as long as I can.
That said, I am beyond excited that she has met her match. Drew is the man for her, and it is so awesome to see her find happiness. I am so excited to be able to stand up with her on her big day, while letting the photos to Daryl and our capable helpers. Let’s just say, it will be fun!
We got to spend some time with these two over the fourth, making some great memories and also checking out the wedding venue. And while we were at it, how about a few engagement images too? These guys totally rocked their engagment session. I would shoot them any day! They made our job SO easy.

Last week, we needed to meet up w/ one of our couples for their pre-wedding chat. Since we hadn’t met them before, we were glad for a chance to get to know them a bit before their big day. It was a total pleasure to get to spent some time with this amazing couple. We grabbed a few engagement shots of them, just so they could get used to us as well, before their wedding.

We are super pumped to get to spend more time with them at their wedding. Eric & Alex:

We had a fun night with JR and Esther in the city the other evening. They are a stunning couple. We are certainly looking forward to their wedding in the near future!

Crystal + Rodney 5.28.10

Our wedding this past weekend was super fun. Rodney is an old friend of Daryl’s from his single days, so it was pretty cool to see him getting married, and to such a neat person too! We are excited and happy for Rodney and Crystal, here’s to their future.

The day was lovely, a cool respite from the 90 degree day we had the day before. The rain held off all day, which was a good thing, since most of the time we were doing pictures, it seemed like it could let loose at any moment. Crystal’s girl looked steller in their vibrant pink, and the guys in their pink socks. More on that later.

Jacob + Melissa 5.15.10

The other Saturday, on a beautiful perfect day in May, Daryl’s youngest sister got married. It was fun to be there, to shoot the pics, and celebrate their happiness. We are so happy that Melissa found herself such a wonderful person to spend the rest of her life with. Welcome to the family Jake! I have lots of pics to share, hope you don’t get bored.

First off, a shot of Melissa’s gorgeous dress. I think this is my favorite wedding dress of the year, so far. Love the ruching.

Nothing more lovely then a breezy summer evening, soaked with sunlight and sweetness. Add to the mix, two cute in-love people, and you’ve got Jeremy and Sheri’s engagement shoot.

We loved the summer evening sunlight and these fields of tall grasses. It doesn’t get any better:-)

We thouroughly enjoyed our wedding couple this past weekend. The heavy rainclouds were no match for the happiness radiating from them. They were in love and so very excited to be getting married! We had alot of fun shooting in a brand-new location, and wished we had more time before the skies poured rain.

Joe + Bethany 5.1.10

I don’t know where to begin with Joe and Bethany’s wedding. To say it was a beautiful event would be an understatement. Even a casual observer would have been able to tell that each detail had been carefully planned and thought through. It was a beautiful event and we were honored to have the job of shooting it all. Since it was all the way in Ohio, Daryl and I didn’t get to meet the couple before their big day, so we were in for a real treat. Two beautiful people, inside and out:

The day was full of lovely, soft light.

The groom.

These guys knew what to do.

Beautiful bride. Inside and out.

Looooved the tulips that the girlies carried.

And now, for the real eye-candy. The details of the reception were just so fun, from the moss on the bridal table, to the chandeliers, and the assorted vintage chairs, each with their own comfy white pillow. Just. So. Fun!

The wedding cakes adorned with woodland greenery.

White chocolate covered pretzal sticks.

Armloads of dogwoods added an airy ethereal feeling to the white tent.

Yummers.

Table centerpieces were assorted vintage white ware, with potted greenery. Simple. lovely.
